Obituary of Lavetta M. Colmenero

Lavetta M. Colmenero, age 47, of Gloversville, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at River Ridge Living Center, Amsterdam, following a long illness.

She was born February 8, 1971 in Gloversville, the daughter of Douglas Sr. and Carol (Gingras) Countryman. She was employed by Handy Ups and Downs of Gloversville and the Lexington Center until her illness. 

Lavetta was a member of the Leisure Lounge of Gloversville. She liked to play on her tablet and enjoyed camping.

She is survived by her fiance, Daniel Vosburgh; a daughter, Cheryl Miles; her mother, Carol Countryman; a sister, Sabrina Countryman; a brother, Douglas Countryman Jr; two granddaughters, Aaliyha and Mya; a grandson; an uncle, James Sweet; a brother-in-law, Barry Schuyler, Sr; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father; her husband, Ralph H. Colmenero; and a sister, Wilhelmina Countryman.

A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. Cremation will be performed at Parkview Cemetery Crematorium, Schenectady.
