Obituary of Alyssa Sardelli Williams

Alyssa Iva Sardelli Williams, age 30, of Albany, passed away Sunday evening, June 10, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving husband and family.

She was born June 17, 1987 in Gloversville, the daughter of Robert and Susan Sommella Sardelli. She was a 2005 graduate of Gloversville High School and 2011 graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy. Alyssa was Pharmacist/Pharmacy Manager of Rite Aid Pharmacy, East Greenbush, where she was employed about 10 years. She was also an Independent Beach Body Coach for many years.

Alyssa was a member of Lambda Kappa Sigma Sorority and the college dance team. She was very proud of her many titles and awards that she earned while studying dance at Merritt Dance Center, Schenectady, for many years. She truly enjoyed traveling to compete in local and national dance competitions.

When not traveling, Alyssa enjoyed the comforts of her home, especially with her pet Lhasa Apso, Zoey Prudence.

Alyssa was married to the love of her life, Ryan Williams, on April 20 of this year.  She is also survived by her parents, Robert and Susan Sommella Sardelli of Gloversville; her grandmother, Elizabeth Sommella of San Antonio, TX; a sister, Marie Ottaway and husband Timothy of Simpsonville, SC; a brother, John Sardelli of California; a niece, Isabella Susan Ottaway; a nephew, Landon Ottaway; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and inlaws.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Anthony Sommella and Dominic John and Iva Sardelli.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 14 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St; Gloversville, with the Rev. James Fitzmaurice officiating.

Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
