Obituary of Arnold R. Moore

Arnold R. Moore, age 83, of Gloversville, passed away Monday morning, July 2, 2018 at Albany Medical Center, with his family by his side.

He was born December 10, 1934 in Gloversville, the son of the late Florence E. Moore. A lifelong area resident, Arnold graduated from Gloversville High School in 1952. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was later employed by Cordones, Coca-Cola, Bartyzels and Buanno Trucking.

Arnold was a member of the Foothills United Methodist Church. He loved all the four seasons. He was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman and loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Arnold is survived by his fiancee, Toby Ortell of Gloversville; four children, Sharon Nazzaro (Chuck) of Jamestown, Paula Hohensheldt (Jeff) of Gloversville, Jacqueline Dunlavey (Chris) of Rensselaer and Peter Moore of Gloversville, as well as their mother, Naydia Moore of Johnstown. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Joshua, Jenna, Mindy, Sarah, Matt, Abigale, Alexandra and James; 5 great-grandchildren, Addison, Anjolina, Jordan, Teagan and Viviana; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Mirabito.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 5 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, where a Funeral Service will take place 10:00 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Cynthia Van Allen officiating.

Interment will take place at a later date at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
