Obituary of Shirley A. Hasenfuss

Shirley A. Hasenfuss, age 80 yrs, of Hagaman, NY passed away July 5, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Amsterdam, NY on February 4, 1938 and is the daughter of the late Raymond and Nancy (Juliano) Spooner.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 yrs. Robert F. Hasenfuss of Hagaman, a son Bob (Patricia) Hasenfuss of Hagaman. 2 grandchildren Amy (Aaron Cain) Hasenfuss of Perth, Renee (Ron Loria) Hasenfuss of Hagaman, 4 great grandchildren Brayden and Orion Loria, Ashton and Addison Cain, also by a special aunt Anna Wavers , and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Besides her parents she is also predeceased by a daughter Debbie Hasenfuss.

During her lifetime she was a graduate of Amsterdam High School, She was an avid bowler for many years winning a lot of tournaments, and avid horse groomer for her late father’s stable at Saratoga Harness Track. She loved her bingo and casino’s.   

Relatives and Friends are invited to call for a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday July 10, 2018 at 11 AM,  at St. Stephen’s  Catholic Church,  51 N. Pawling Street, Hagaman, NY 12086,  with Fr. O. Robert  DeMartinis Officiating,  and a burial will follow in the family plot of the St. Joseph’s Cemetery,  Fort Johnson, NY.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Shirley’s name may be made to the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department at 126 S. Pawling Street, Hagaman, NY 12086.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger Family Funeral Homes, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
