Obituary of Evelyn G. Rieth

Evelyn G. Rieth, age 88, went to be with The Lord on Friday morning, August 10, 2018 at Wells Nursing Home, Johnstown, where she has resided the past two years.

She was born January 14, 1930 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late William and Irene Longfritz Rieth. She was employed as a secretary by Lee & Mason Insurance of Boston, Massachusetts for over 40 years until her retirement.

Evelyn is a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit.

She is survived by her sister, Eleanor M. D'Onofrio (Dominic) of Gloversville and a sister-in-law, Flora Rieth of N. Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Victor Rieth, Elmer Rieth, Clayton Rieth, Bessie Bohacek and Dorothy Rieth.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 14 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St; Gloversville, with the Rev. Matthew Wetsel officiating.

Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.
