Obituary of Ann Sorbero

Ann Marie Criscuolo Sorbero, 82, died peacefully on Friday, August 18, 2018 following a long illness.  Born in Amsterdam, NY on August 22, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Anella Romano Criscuolo.

A lifelong Amsterdam resident, Ann was a high school graduate.  She was employed by the Town of Amsterdam for many years until her retirement. She was a communicant of the former St. Michael the Archangel Church and St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.

Ann will be remembered for the love of her family and friends.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Tom, on May 4, 2018.

Survivors include her son, Martin Sorbero and his wife Carol; four grandchildren, Dr. Cheryl Sorbero and her husband Dr. Ramsey Elhosn, David Sorbero and his wife Abby, Christopher Sorbero and his wife Carla, Phillip Sorbero; four great grandchildren, Christian, Gabriella, Lola and Luca; her sister and brother-in-law, Carmella Brooks and Anthony Sorbero; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11:15a.m. at Historic St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam, NY with the Rev. Jeffrey L’Arche, M.S. as celebrant.  Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held on her Birthday, Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 4 until 7p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
