Obituary of Mary Jane A. Knack

     Mary Jane A. Knack ,  76 , of Amsterdam , passed away Saturday September 15, 2018, on the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam with her loving family at her side.

      Born in Amsterdam, NY on July 17, 1942 a daughter of the late Emmett  and Tillie (Alikonis) St. John. 

     She was the Financial Manager and Secretary/Treasurer of her family’s business,  Group Purchasing Services Inc. in Amsterdam working until her retirement last year.

 She was a communicant of Historic St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. 

       Mary Jane enjoyed traveling and decorating her home for the holidays both inside and out.  She made her home her own paradise while spending time with her family, especially with her grandsons. 

     She married Randolph C. "Randy" Knack on September 5, 1965 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam.    They recently celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary.

   In addition to her husband and best friend Randy, she is survived by her two beloved sons, Christopher Knack and Gregory (Peg) Knack  of Amsterdam. Her cherished grandsons, Jonathan, Stephen and Thomas Knack.  Nieces, one nephew and cousins also survive.   She was predeceased 13 years ago by a loving sister, Patricia Hart.

      A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.  Interment is private and will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ft.
