Obituary of Brian Douglas Markert

 

Brian “Wedge” Douglas Markert, 64, of Johnstown, NY, has gone to his eternal rest on Saturday, October 27th, 2018, in the comfort of his own home with his family by his side.

Born on March 31st, 1954, he was the son of the late Donald Charles Markert and Marion Elizabeth Potts. A lifelong area resident, Brian is survived by his daughters, Nikki VanCuren and Stephanie (Dave) Ravinski; his sister Robin D. Markert; his brother Rodney D. Markert; and his four grandchildren. Many more nieces, nephews, and cousin also survive. Brian is predeceased by his beloved parents Donald and Marion Markert.

A Memorial Visitation will take place on Friday, November 2nd, 2018 from 3-6:00 PM at Betz, Rossi, & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, NY 12010. The family will receive visitors at a celebration of life following the visitation on Friday at the Robin’s Nest, 230 Stevers Mills Rd, Broadalbin, NY 12025. In lieu of flowers a Memorial Contribution may be made to the Regional Animal Shelter, 117 W Fulton St, Gloversville, NY 12078.
