Obituary of Claire Myzal

Mrs. Claire Myzal, age 89, of Gloversville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 26, 2018 at Nathan Littauer Extended Care with her children by her side.

She was born May 7, 1929 in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Hyman and Tillie Cohen.  She was a stay at home mother to her 4 children. Claire was a proud member of the Knesseth Israel Synagogue, being a board member for many years, also a member of their Hadassah organization. She was also a longtime member of the Nathan Littauer Hospital Womens Auxiliary and the Gloversville Senior Center.

Claire was a devoted mother to her children and grandmother to her grandchildren, and always instilled the importance of family to them.

Claire is survived by one son Marc Myzal (Jean Marie) of Lansdale, PA and a daughter Terri Savlov (Ron Blowers) of Gloversville, three grandchildren; Alison Myzal, Emily Savlov and Adam Myzal, along with several extended family members and friends.

Along with her parents she was predeceased by her Husband Eugene Myzal, her two Children, Stuart Myzal and Debra Myzal and a sister Ruth Weiner.

Funeral Service will take place at 11:00AM Friday December 28th at Knesseth Israel Synagogue, 34 E. Fulton St. Gloversville, with the Spiritual Leader Suzanne Schermerhorn officiating.

Interment will take place immediately following the Synagogue services at Knesseth Israel Cemetery, Clyde St. Gloversville.

Arrangements are entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home.
