Obituary of Beverly J. Green

Beverly J. Green, age 94, of Gloversville, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, January 16, 2019 at her home.

She was born June 6, 1924 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Harold "Ted" Thorne and Pauline Eisenman Thorne. She was employed as a Medical Receptionist for Dr. John Clemons, Optometrist, in Gloversville. When living in Canada she worked at the Bank of Nova Scotia in Cornwall, Ontario. She later worked as a Medical Transcriptionist at Nathan Littauer Hospital for 20 years until her retirement in 1989.

Beverly is survived by two sons, Lee "Tom" Green, Sr. (Patricia) of Gloversville and Lawrence N. Green (Janice) of Pine Lake; a daughter, Cheryl Lynn Miller (Joe) of Fairbanks, Alaska; a brother, Gary Carpenter (Pam) and a sister, Paula McClain (Larry), both of Tennessee. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, a cousin, Patricia Seeley of Gloversville; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Harry A. Green, Jr. and a son, Bruce A. Green.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 11 a.m. to 12 noon Tuesday, January 22 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, where a Funeral Service will follow at 12 noon with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.

Interment will follow at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown.
