Obituary of Orella Miller

      Orella M. Miller,  78, formerly  of Perth, NY,  passed away Friday January 18, 2019 at the Baptist Health and Rehabilitation  Center in Scotia , NY.

     Born in Vernon Center, NY on August 17, 1940 a daughter of the late George and Alta Eckhard Henry.  She grew up in Vernon Center, NY.   She came to the Perth, NY area in the early 1980’s.  She enjoyed being outdoors in the country, reading, planting and tending to flowers and gardening.  Orella also enjoyed watching wrestling with her grandson Austin.   She especially enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren and family. 

     Orella was employed at the Lexington Center in Johnstown, NY for many years.

      She married Oliver L. Miller on May 2, 1998.  He passed away on September 11, 2010.  Survivors include, her four children, David (Tiffany) Rowe of Town of Charleston, NY, Cyndi (Tom) Waters of Amsterdam.  Jeff (Melissa) Atwood of Johnstown, NY and Brad (Tracy) Atwood of Amsterdam.  One brother, George (Katie) Henry  of Eaton, NY.  Two sisters, Donna Williamson and Pat Simzer of Vernon Center, NY.   Six cherished grandchildren, Jenna, Nakiya, Austin, Alexa, Nicole and Jessie.  Two great-grandchildren, Melany and Charlotte.   Several  nieces and  nephews also survive.

      Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 26, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at the Jackson and Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Fultonville, NY with Rev. Cynthia Leonard presiding.  Interment will be in the spring in Perth Cemetery, Perth, NY.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday January 26, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.  Please leave condolences online at www.brbsfuneral.com
