Obituary of Gerald Edward Marshall, Jr.

Gerald E. Marshall, Jr. of Johnstown passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on January 23rd, 2019.

Jerry was born in Gloversville, he was the son of Vrenda and Gerald Marshall, Sr. on August 16th, 1960. He graduated from Gloversville High School with the class of 1978. Jerry worked for Samco Leather for 15 years.

He is survived by his mother Vrenda Marshall, his devoted wife Diana Marshall whom he married on April 1st, 2000, and was the proud father of three daughters; Jessica Kirby (Justin), Jeri-Marie Marshall (EJ), Jaime Marshall, as well as four sons; Christian Hosler, Stephen Royal (Amber), Jeremy Marshall (Brittany) and James Marshall (Brianna).

He is also survived by his sister Debra Homa and his brother John Marshall (Karen). He also leaves behind several grandchildren who he loved dearly. Brody and Maggie (Jessica), Matt and Phill (Jeri), Isaiah, Kellese and Dorian (Jaime), Aribella (Christian) Devin, Zander and Adelynn (Jeremy) and Jayce (James). He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews including Haleigh, Madison and Alex to name a few.

He was a long time avid bowler, member and secretary of the Premier Scratch League on Friday nights at Arterial Lanes. One of his proudest moments was being inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame in 2016.

He was pre-deceased by his loving father Gerald E. Marshall, Sr. who was also an avid bowler.

In lieu of a service Jerry has requested a celebration of life benefit, which will be held at the Johnstown Moose Club on January 27th, 2019 from 1-5pm. Tickets costs will be used to assist medical costs acquired during his illness.

Tickets are $15 and will be available at the door.
