Obituary of Auguste Granovskis

Mrs. Auguste “Gussie” Granovskis, age 100, of Gloversville, passed away July 13, 2019 at the Fulton Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Gloversville.

 

She was born December 14, 1918 in Azeva, Latvia, the daughter of the late Teodore and Marija Rozinskis. Gussie, along with her husband Albert, were the proud owners of the former Broadview Motel in Broadalbin. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and fishing with her husband. At the Fulton Center, Gussie was known for enjoying a good laugh and also for her sweet tooth.

 

She was a long time congregant of the Schenectady Latvian Lutheran Church.

 

Gussie is survived by her two nephews; Zintis Buzermanis and Vilnis Neilands. Gussie also leaves behind the best friends and neighbors in the world; Mary Jo and Bob Ambrosino, as well as her dear friend Lisa Atty.

 

In addition to both her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Albert and a sister Gustin Neilands.

 

Honoring Gussie’s wishes, there will be no formal calling hours or funeral services.

 

Interment will take place in the fall at the Latvian Veteran’s Cemetery in Tannersville, NY.

 

The family of Gussie would like to send a sincere thank you to Natasha and her other friends at the Fulton Center who took such good care of her.
