Obituary of Gina Marie Ciani

Ms. Gina Marie Ciani, 41, of Amsterdam, NY passed away peacefully on October 21, 2019 at Mountain Valley Hospice after an eleven year battle with breast cancer. She was born on March 15, 1978 to Elizabeth (Metot) Ciani, and was raised in Fort Plain, NY.

Gina was always a cheerful and fun-loving person. She loved to travel, recently having visited Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee with her sister Anne and her cousin Basia. Gina also enjoyed attending baseball games whenever she could. Dolphins, Super Mario, and The Peanuts all brought her great joy in life. She loved to spend her free time not only with family and friends, but with Basia. She also adored her pet dogs, cats, and rabbits.

For 19 years, she worked as a sales associate at the Amsterdam Walmart. Gina was always eager to help others by nature.           

Her loving family includes  her mother, Elizabeth  Ciani; her siblings, Michael (Amanda) Ciani and Anne Ciani; her nephews, Sky and Aidan; her beloved cousin, Basia Michalowski; her aunts and uncle, Michael, Cheri, and Melody; her cousin Michelle Ciani and her son Malachi Williams, and her cousins Pam (Roy), Matt, Shawn, Shannon, her son Sterling, Chase, Geoff, Jason, Judy Michalowski and family, Judy Cvetezar and family, and many more, as well as several beloved friends.  

Funeral services will be conducted on November 1st at 7:00 in the evening at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY with Pastor Charles Houle presiding. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on November 1, 2019 from 5:00 until 7:00 in the evening at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
