Obituary of Ronald Wayne George, Jr.

Ronald Wayne “RJ” George, Jr., age 43, of Greenfield Center, suddenly passed away on Wednesday January 8, 2020.

He was born March 31, 1976 in Syracuse, the son of Ronald, Sr. and Sandra George. He was proudly employed as a Foreman by the NYS Thruway Association, Maintenance Division in Amsterdam. RJ will be remembered for how hard he worked for everything that he had.

RJ was avid a fan of Dirt Racing, he raced in the Limited Sportsman division at Albany Saratoga Speedway. He was proud to have finally won a heat race at Albany Saratoga Speedway on May 24th, 2019.

The true pride and joys of his life other than his family and race community, were his faithful companions Duncan and his Princess Dakota.

RJ was very proud of his family heritage, Oneida Native American. He was known as the “Grill Master” at the family BBQ's and gatherings.

Ronald is survived by father and mother Ronald Sr. and Sandra George, his brothers Kevin (Sabra) George, Mark (Alexandra) George and Art Howes, his nieces and nephews Ryan, Reid, Ryleigh and Zoey George.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00PM to 7:00PM, on Tuesday January 14, 2020 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville.

A Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home, 12:30PM on Wednesday January 15, 2020.

Interment will take place in the spring at Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to your local SPCA in RJ’s name.

Arrangements are entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
