Obituary of Beatrice M. Borwhat

              Beatrice M. “Beatie” Borwhat “, 66,  of Amsterdam, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday February 23., 2020 surrounded by her beloved family. 

    Born in Amsterdam, NY on September 3, 1953 a daughter of the late William C.  and Ruth Fletcher Hauser.   She was a lifelong area resident and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School in Amsterdam class of 1971. 

   Bea was a caregiver for her family, she always put her family first.  She was employed part-time at various locations in Amsterdam.     

         She was a communicant of Historic St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. 

     Beatrice married Charles A. Borwhat  on February 14, 1976.  In addition to her beloved husband survivors include, her son, Michael Borwhat of Amsterdam.    Daughters,  Melissa (Danni) Chacar of Montreal Quebec, Canada and Lisa (Jason) Colon of Amsterdam, NY.  One brother, Charles “Charlie” Hauser of Amsterdam, NY.   Cherished grandchildren, Donovan Colon, Madison Colon, Chelsey, Jordyn and Brianna Chacar and Addilyn Borwhat.  Several cousins also survive.  Bea was predeceased by brother William C. Hauser Jr. 

    Bea enjoyed shopping, gardening, crafts, she looked forward to her monthly “Dinner with the girls” with her classmates of 1971.  But most of all, taking care of her children and grandchildren.  

     A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday February 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Historic St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 156 East Main St., Amsterdam with Father Jeffrey M. L’Arche M.S. as celebrant.  Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ft. Johnson, NY.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Historic St. Mary’s Church, 156 East Main St., Amsterdam.  In lieu of flowers you may send donations to Bea’s favorite charity St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN.
