Louise Wilder

Obituary of Louise Clara Wilder

Louise Clara Wilder passed away unexpectedly at her home on May 21, 2020.

She was born June 21, 1943 in Gloversville to Neil Morris Boles and Louise Lailia Boles (Van Alstyne) and was a lifelong resident of Gloversville and Johnstown.

Louise worked briefly at Continental Mills in Gloversville in her younger years and at Lexington Center for several years as a working mother. She married her life partner Donald E. “Dutch” Wilder on February 26, 1989 at the Gloversville American Legion where the two were active members. They were also active members of the Gloversville Veterans of Foreign Wars where she served as Auxiliary Secretary more than once. Louise often attended North Main United Methodist Church near her home and was very fond of Pastor Joe before his retirement. She was devoted to her furry friends and loved them dearly. She was most happy playing pitch with friends or family on a Friday or Saturday night. Sometimes she even won.

She was predeceased by brothers Neil “Buster” Boles (Nancy), Robert W. Boles (Janet) and Kevin P. Boles (Kim) as well as sisters Ellen L. Morgan, Carolyn K. Nellis (Gerald) and infant sister Donna Marie. She is survived by her children Edward D. Boles (Kim Heroth), Tammy L. Jones (Jeffery) and Donielle L. Lince (Jeremy), beloved niece Kimberly A. Nellis-Verrego (Daniel) as well as one brother Gerald D. Boles of North Carolina. She is also survived by grandchildren Andrew DiMezza of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Elizabeth Grace DiMezza of Schenectady and Ethan Lince of Gloversville as well as grandchildren adopted later in her life Andrew Beckham and Makalya Becker. She leaves several other beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private ceremony at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville on Saturday June 6, 2020. Due to COVID 19 protocol only close family and friends should attend and should maintain social distancing protocols. Louise would want everyone to remain safe while honoring her.
