Obituary of Lloyd W. Dibble
Mr. Lloyd Dibble, 76, of Carlisle Road in Canajoharie, NY passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Ellis Hospital. He was born September 18, 1943 the son of the late Floyd Dibble and Marcia Borst Dibble of Cobleskill. He started school in Cobleskill also attending Fonda before leaving school to begin life as a Farm Hand at Schuyler Farm.
Lloyd leaves behind his Liberty family, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Marcia as well as his sisters Maryann Butler, Virginia Hodge, Sylvia Morey and brother Wesley Dibble.
Lloyd was a pillar of the community and a jokester to the end. You knew he liked you if he joked with you or you were deemed his “Dolly”. If you were his “Dolly” he’d tell you he loved you and give you one of his beautifully colored pictures. Lloyd had special relationships with many people throughout his years at Liberty.
Lloyd had a love for the country life. He loved gardening, gathering the mail, and chickens. When he didn’t have his own anymore he was sure to keep track of the House Manager’s as she brought in pictures and gave him updates upon his request. He loved to reminisce about his days living on the Schuyler Farm as well.
He was loved by everyone that he met. He will be forever missed by everyone whose heart he touched especially his Carlisle and Liberty family.
Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, September 9th, 2020 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St, Canajoharie, NY 13317, followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
