Mac was a good boss to my mother, who worked for him at GE, and later a good friend. She always spoke highly of him and Betty, and she would surely have mourned his passing, were she still with us. My heartfelt condolences to Betty and the family. Mac's record of civic and community service is impressive!

Mac was a very special friend to he late Richard E. Weber, Jr. as well as to me. We have been missing those special lunches we had at the Raindancer. Dick and Mac shared a trait I always admired - integrity beyond reproach and a great sense of humor. Mac was as special to me as he was to Dick. I knew him first at GE and we shared a common dislike for Welch and how he transformed the company into one of materialism instead of paternalism. Mac stood tall and did not go along with fawning over Welch to survive. he was his own man. As Dick would say to MAC, "semper fi."
Ralph and Betty were two of the first people we met in Glen when moving here over 40 years ago. I can't think of better neighbors and friends and remember with fondness gatherings at their beautiful house and early work with a small historic preservation group. Mac knew Ron played and loved music and always made sure he brought to him left over music and music books from auction lots. Mac loved his family, his friends, his community, history and preservation. Mac will be missed but cherished always. Blessings for his family and for Betty. May the best memories ever sustain you all.
