Obituary of Lawrence Roby Sr.

Mr. Lawrence Roby Sr; 69, of Amsterdam, NY; died peacefully on December 15, 2020.  He was born on July 11, 1951 in Amsterdam, NY; he is the son of the late Carlton, and Dorothy (Jimerson) Roby.

Survived by his wife Jodi (Bishop) Roby of Schenectady, NY; his children Michael Vengas of Boston; Diana Roby of Amsterdam, NY; Nathan (Michaela) Roby of Bradenton FL; Sean Knowles of Amsterdam, NY; and Lawrence Roby Jr; of Schenectady. Survived also by his siblings Linda (Robert) Morrell of Amsterdam, NY; Jaqueline Roby of Amsterdam, NY; and Carlton (Liz) Roby of Amsterdam, NY; also by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. 

Lawrence was employed for over 30 years at the Ironworkers Local 12 in Albany, NY. He loved nature, cooking, and was proud of his Native American Heritage.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
