Obituary of Alice M. Pasquarelli, R.N.

Alice M. Pasquarelli R.N., 93, of Amsterdam, NY died peacefully on Friday, December 18, 2020.  Born in Dolgeville, NY on July 13, 1927 she was the daughter of the late John F. Connor and Mary Nash Connor.

 

A lifelong area resident, Alice was educated locally and attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing, graduating in 1948.  For over 30 years Alice worked for St. Mary’s Hospital.  She also helped care for many as a private duty nurse.  Alice enjoyed caring for others and took great pride in her work.

 

She was a devout member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed knitting and going to craft shows.  Her greatest joy was being with her family, whom she loved dearly.

 

On June 4, 1949 she was united in marriage to Frank Pasquarelli.  That union was blessed with 68 wonderful years of marriage until his passing on January 22, 2017.  Alice was also predeceased by her brother, John N. Connor and his wife Janet Fitzpatrick Connor.

 

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Cheryl (Roy) Doremus, David (Joan) Connor, Patricia McIntrye, Thomas (Janice) Connor, Terrance (Cheryl) Connor, John (Rose) Pasquarelli, Sylvester “Joe” (Michaelyn) Pasquarelli and Donna (Keith) Veltri; a sister-in-law, Theresa Muscatello; her dear friends, Del (Randie) Salmon, and Rusty (Jamie) Bolane; the extended Pasquarelli Family; and many friends.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place in the spring of 2021.  Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill, New York.
