Obituary of Arthur Harris Levine

Mr. Arthur “Artie” Harris Levine, 69, of Mayfield, New York, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2020 at Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Healthcare Facility. Artie was born on July 7, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Morton and Mildred (Kravitz) Levine.

Artie was passionate about motorsports, spending his formative years drag racing motorcycles. He turned his passion into a business, opening BDK Motorcycles in Mayfield. He was very proud to have been the owner and operator for 42 years, until his retirement in the mid-2000s. Artie devoted long hours every day to helping those that came into his shop any way that he could. He also spent some time working as a long-haul truck driver, covering a route from New York to Florida. In his free time Artie enjoyed watching all sorts of drag races, football games, and Western movies.

In 1977 Artie was united in marriage to Andreea Kaczor. They shared 35 years of marriage before deciding to divorce amicably. They remained the best of friends until his passing. Artie is also survived by his children, Christian Levine of Mayfield, Michaelia (Jason) Daniels of Gloversville, and Jade Grace (William Gifford) of Mayfield; his seven grandchildren, Jenna (Austin) Dingman, Kolton and Jaylee Vanslyke, Gage Hayes, Kaylob Daniels, Jackson Levine-Grace, and Maisy Gifford; his brother, Steven Levine of Las Vegas, Nevada; as well as his great-granddaughter on the way, Aubriella Dingman.

Aside from his parents, Artie is predeceased by his brother, David Levine.

Artie’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Wilkinson for the phenomenal care the offered to Artie. They would especially like to thank Nurse’s Aide Becky, who always went above and beyond to help and comfort Artie in these most difficult times.
