Obituary of Dona Jean Groves

Mrs. Dona Jean Groves, age 77, of Gloversville, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday December 29, 2020 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville.

 

She was born July 15, 1943 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Vivian Holmes Patrillia. Dona was a Crossing Guard at Park Terrace Elementary School in Gloversville, along with being a stay-at-home mother for her three sons.

 

Dona is survived by her two sons, Jeffery Madden and Merrill Frye Jr. along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren 

 

In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her husband Merrill Frye Sr. and a son Christopher Frye

 

Keeping with Dona's wishes, there will be no formal calling hours or funeral services at this time.

Cremation took place at Park View Cemetery, Schenectady.

 

Interment will take place in the spring at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown.

 

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to a charity of your choice in Dona's name.
