Obituary of Benjamin J. Wallach

Mr. Benjamin J. Wallach, 63, of Schenectady, NY died suddenly on Sunday, January 24, 2021.  Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Paul and Ann Morgenstern Wallach.

 

Ben attended local schools and was a graduate of Linton High School.  He furthered his education at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and later received his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University in California.

 

On November 7, 1998 he was united in marriage to Ellen Marie Levy.  Together they traveled the world and enjoyed spending time with one another.  Ben will be remembered for his smile and his laugh.  He always enjoyed a good meal and spending time with family.

 

He was predeceased by his brother, William J. Wallach on June 30, 2020.

 

Survivors include his beloved wife, Ellen; his canine companion, Jessie; his father-in-law, Dr. Donald B. Levy; a brother-in-law, Steven D. Levy; his sister-in-law, Orly Wallach; two nephews, Ronald Wallach and his wife Helena and Lee Wallach and his wife Susan; cousins and dear friends.

 

Private funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 11a.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home with Rabbi Martin Mirsky presiding.  The chapel is reserved for family and close friends.  Those wishing to attend the service virtually are asked to send an email request to info@brbsfuneral.com

 

Burial will take place in Temple of Israel Cemetery, Cranesville, NY.
