Obituary of Arthur M. Whitman IV

Arthur M. Whitman IV, lifelong resident of Gloversville, NY, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, February 1, 2021 at the age of 46.

Art was born on November 9, 1974 in Gloversville, NY and attended Gloversville high school. He worked for S&G Moving of Gloversville, NY. He had a love for football like no other and was very fond of the Pittsburgh Steelers. His favorite place to be was at our camp with those he loved dearly. He enjoyed the competitiveness of horseshoes and loved to be outdoors no matter the weather. He will be tremendously missed by all of his friends and family.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Whitman (nee Groves); his brothers David M. Whitman and Danny Whitman, his sister Jeannie Horning; his children Nicole Whitman, Anthony Whitman, Kris Whitman, Arthur Whitman V, Nichole Oare, Todd Young, Stormy Young, Temperanc Whitman, and Ezekiel Cook; his grandchildren Connor, Maradith, Jordan, Jackson, Kolton, Damien, Nathan, Christopher, and Alivea. He is predeceased by his father, Arthur M. Whitman III.

In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, services will be private to the Whitman Family. Cremation will take place at Park View Cemetery, Schenectady.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Art’s name to a local charity.

Arrangements are entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
