Obituary of Wayne Alan Perham

Wayne Alan "Skip" Perham, age 80, of Mayfield, died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at his home.

He was born May 27, 1940 in Mayfield, the son of the late Kenneth and Eileen Newton Perham. He served in the US Army Military Police during the Vietnam Era and was later employed as a Central Office Technician by the General Telephone Company.

Skip enjoyed the outdoors, especially at his friend Glen's camp in Morehouse. He was a long-time member of the Mayfield Serviceman's Club, Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church and the Mayfield Historical Society. 

He is survived by a sister, Virginia G. Hall  of Mayfield; a niece, Debra Hall of Tribes Hill; two nephews, Douglas and wife Deborah Hall of Alexandria, VA and Timothy and wife Laura Hall of Pikeville, NC; four grand-nephews, Baylee, Nolan, Patrick and Will Hall. 

A Private Service took place at the safety and convenience of the family at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville, with the Rev. Bonnie Orth officiating. 

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Mayfield Servicemen's Club 56 School St. Mayfield, NY 12117 or the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church P.O. Box 432,Mayfield, NY 12117.

A Celebration of Skip's life is planned to be held in May.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
