Obituary of Gail M. Patterson

Gail M. Patterson, age 78, of Gloversville, passed away Thursday morning, February 25, 2021 at Albany Medical Center, Albany.

 

She was born August 13, 1942 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Elmer and Hazel Tyrrell Smith. She was a 1960 graduate of Gloversville High School and was later employed by Winig Slipper Company, as Cosmetic and Jewelry Department Manager at Nichols Dept. Store and later retired from Fashion Bug. She enjoyed cheering on her sons and grandsons at their sporting events and liked watching football. She loved to go on vacation with her husband all over the country. A wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed big and small family get-togethers and lunches out with the girls.

 

Gail is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert M. Patterson, Jr; four children, Robert M. Patterson, III of California, Bryan D. Patterson (Sharon) of Virginia, Stacy L. Zambri (Ben) of Gloversville and Ronald G. Patterson of Schenectady; four grandchildren, Anthony R. Zambri, Benjamin C. Zambri, Ronald M. Patterson and Jenna M. Patterson; two great-granddaughters, Quinn Patterson and Jordyn Mia; five siblings, Gary Smith, Marsha Shaefer, Judyth Falanga, Susan Morrison and Pamela Frascatore; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three siblings, Elmer Smith, Jr; Edward Smith and Jacob Smith.

 

For the safety of family and friends, private visitation and service will take place at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville. Interment will follow at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown.
