Obituary of Ruth M. Crocetta

Mrs. Ruth M. Crocetta, age 88, of Gloversville, Passed Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home, Gloversville.

She was born June 3, 1932 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late James and Mildred Clemente Nigro. She was employed as a glovemaker by Rubin Glove Co. for many years. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit and loved shopping, spending time with family, and spoiling her sons and granddaughter.

Ruth is survived by two sons, James C. Crocetta (Melissa) of Amsterdam and Anthony T. Crocetta of Gloversville; a granddaughter, Marisa J. Crocetta; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Anthony A. Crocetta and her brother, Thomas Nigro.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00am to 12noon Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St., Gloversville where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12noon with the Rev. Matthew Wetsel officiating. Facial coverings and social distancing will be required. Seating will be limited.

Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
