Obituary of Sheila M. Ambrosino

Sheila M. Ambrosino, age 78, former Gloversville resident, died Thursday morning, July 29, 2021 at Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Healthcare Facility, Amsterdam.

She was born November 26, 1942 in Syracuse, the daughter of Cosimo and Leeona Wilkinson Ambrosino. She was a1960 graduate of Gloversville High School and attended Mildred Elley School of Business in Albany. She was a 30 year employee of Sears Roebuck and Company in Gloversville and Johnstown. Sheila was a volunteer of Nathan Littauer Hospital Auxiliary and the Red Cross. She was a Communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Pastoral Council and co-President of the Rosary Society. She later became a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit.

She is survived by her brother, Robert J. Ambrosino (Rosalie) of Austin, Texas; three nieces and nephews, Megan of Texas, Chris of Oklahoma and Will of Texas; as well as several cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will take place at 10 am on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St; Gloversville, with the Rev. Matthew Wetsel as Celebrant.

Entombment will follow in the family mausoleum at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the charity of your choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
