Linda Krupa

Obituary of Linda J. Krupa

Linda Jean Krupa, 69, was lifted into the arms of Our Lord, on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital.  Linda was born on January 5, 1952 the daughter of the late Walter and Jean Krupa.

A lifelong area resident, Linda was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School.  For several years she worked in the kitchen at the former Mount Loretto Nursing Home.  She was a Liberty ARC resident for many years, living the past few years on Village Lane, with a loving staff and the “family” dog, Sadie.  Linda was known for her determined and independent spirit, which was tempered by her sense of humor.  She was loved much by her staff and fellow residents and will be greatly missed.  Linda especially enjoyed working on her puzzles and word search books, playing solitaire on her Tablet, watching movies and TV, especially re-runs of “I Love Lucy.”  She even had the opportunity to visit Lucy’s birthplace.  She loved animals, both cats and dogs, having had cats of her own, Scooter and Snowflake, in the past.  They sensed her kindness, gentleness and vulnerability and loved her as well.  She enjoyed county and polka music, having grown up in a Polish household with polka bands in the family.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her grandparents, Joseph and Mary Wojtyna, and Frank and Mary Krupa; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and her very special uncle, Rev. John J. Wojtyna.

Survivors include her sister, Theresa Jackson of Amsterdam, NY; her brother, Rev. Thomas J. Krupa, Pastor of Sacred Heart Church, Castleton, NY; her nephew, Eric Brosch (Kelly) and grand nephews, Owen and Tyler Brosch, all of Rowley, MA; several cousins; and her Liberty Family.

The deepest gratitude goes out to the loving and caring staff at Liberty and the medical staff at the 4th floor of St. Mary’s Hospital.  You gave her the best you could give.
