Obituary of Joyce L. Gersak

Joyce L. Gersak, age 83, of Gloversville, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville.

She was born March 20, 1938 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Charles and Isabelle Sagatis Potter. She was employed as an X-Ray Technologist at Nathan Littauer Hospital for 31 years until her retirement in 1998. She was a former member of the Johnstown Women of the Moose and the former First Presbyterian Church of Gloversville.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 62 years, Thomas J. Gersak; three daughters, Lisa Furman (Mike) of Tampa, FL, Linda Roselli (Dominick) Martinez, GA and Sarah Lake of Tampa; a brother, Larry Potter and a sister Joanne Bundy (Bruce); ten grandchildren, Thomas and Julie Furman, Andrea, Christina and Carolyn Roselli; Billy, Steven, Chloe, Sophia and Joey Lake; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 6 pm Friday, November 19 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, where a Funeral Service will take place at 10 am Saturday. Facial masks will be required.

Interment will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
