Obituary of Deena Marie Raczes

Deena Marie Raczes, 36, of Amsterdam, NY died peacefully on January 9, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.  Born on February 20, 1985 she was the daughter of the Deborah Raczes.

A lifelong area resident, Deena attended local schools.  Deena was employed at Walmart in Amsterdam where she started as a cashier and eventually had her own Department.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her mother, Deborah; her grandmother, Jeanette; extended members of the Raczes family; and friends.

A Service of Remembrance will take place Monday, January 17, 2022 at 1p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam with the Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  A calling hour will precede the service beginning at 12p.m. at the funeral home.  Masks are required.
