Obituary of Helen K. Perry

Mrs. Helen K. (Marotta) Perry, 93, of Amsterdam, NY died peacefully on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Amsterdam, NY on October 16, 1928 she was the last living child of the late Angelo and Mariangela St. John Marotta.

On July 23, 1950 she was united in marriage to Anthony J. Perry.  They lived a wonderful life together residing in Mahopac, NY, Port St. Lucie, FL and Lewisville, TX before moving back to Amsterdam in 2018. Sadly that union ended with his passing on April 7, 2020. Helen will be remembered for being a loving, mother and grandmother.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was predeceased by her grandson, Gabriel Gliewe and all twelve of her brothers and sisters.

Her loving family includes three daughters, Artabella J. “Bella” Perry of Gloversville, NY, Mary A. Robbins and her husband Kenneth of Argyle, TX and Deborah M. Nunley and her husband Dereck of Desoto, KS; seven grandchildren, Nicole Dingman and her husband Wayne, Jason Gliewe and his wife Clarissa, Melissa Sukah and her husband George, Jackie Holub and her husband Chris, Timothy Robbins and his wife Stephanie, Anthony Nunley and his wife Caylee and Pierce Nunley; thirteen great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 3 until 5p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.  Burial will take place at a later date in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
