Obituary of Claude W. Farone

Claude W. Farone, 65, a life-long resident of the Town of Florida, New York, passed away on February 5, 2022. Claude was born in Amsterdam on June 18, 1956 to Anthony and Ethel (Kendle) Farone. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Amsterdam High School.

Claude worked as a cabinet maker for many years, and was the owner of C&C Enterprizes in Amsterdam. He was a very talented carpenter, and throughout his career he learned to build anything he set his mind to.

To Claude, family and community meant everything. He was known as a wonderful father and brother. He loved to spend time with his friends in the community, and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Claude enjoyed spending his time at home puttering around the farm on his tractor, and spending as much time as he could in the great outdoors. He was also a life-long animal lover, and musician.

His loving family includes his children, Chastity, Jeremy, and EmyLou  Farone; his sister, Delores K. Phelps; grandchildren, Elianna, Kirsten, Jenna, Shyann, Alyssa, and Vincent; his niece, Dawn Merrill; nephew, Kevin Wood; as well as many beloved friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Aside from his parents, Anthony and Ethel, Claude is preceded in passing by his brother, Gerald Wood, as well as by his nephew, Mark Phelps.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on February 19, 2022 from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, New York. A Service of Remembrance will follow. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Montgomery County SPCA.
