Obituary of Helen J. Monfils

Helen J. Monfils, age 89, of Mayfield, passed away Tuesday evening, June 14, 2022 at Park Manor Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Middletown, NY.

She was born August 10, 1932 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Carlton and Frances (Brady) Bell. She was an wonderful homemaker who took care of everyone her entire life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid care giver. She loved hummingbirds, her flower garden and the lake.

Helen is survived by four children, Barbara Rich, Ronald Monfils (Susan), Allan Monfils (Jan) and Donald Monfils (Penny); a brother, Carlton Bell (Vincie); 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Clifford P. Monfils Jr; a brother, Frank Bell and a sister, Joann Cole.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 am to 12 noon on Tuesday, June 21st at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, where a Funeral Service will follow at 12 noon. 

Interment will follow at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
