Obituary of Michele Pooler

Michele Pooler, 64, of Tribes Hill, NY, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2022 at home. She was born on March 3, 1958 to Edward and Shirley (Bull) Picinich in Amsterdam.

Michele was a loving mother and grandmother who most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She really enjoyed laughing and making people laugh and was able to find humor in the most difficult times. Michele was an animal lover and always spoiled her pets like they were members of the family. Michele worked for the Mental Health Association in Fulton and Montgomery counties for nearly 30 years.

Michele leaves behind her loving family, including her son, Eric (Sara) Pooler; Stepsons Chris (Carrie) Schmidtmann, Cody (Tamara) Schmidtmann; her mother, Shirley Picinich; grandsons, Brody and Vander Pooler; siblings, Kevin (Teresa) Picinich and Darlene (Gary) Dollard; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in passing by her husband, Jeffery D. Schmidtmann, her son, Ryan I. Pooler, as well as by her father, Edward Picinich.

A memorial service will be held privately, at the convenience of Michele's family. Memorial contributions may be made to an animal shelter of your choice or the American Cancer Society
