Obituary of Faith M. China
Mrs. Faith M. China, 89, died peacefully on July 25, 2022 following a brief illness. Born in Amsterdam, NY on October 6, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Richard and Loretta Scott Tyndall.
A lifelong area resident, she attended local schools. Faith was employed for many years at Niagara Mohawk as a Supervisor until her retirement. She was faithful member of the Amsterdam United Methodist Church and was also very active with the Order of the Eastern Star. Faith also enjoyed collecting Precious Moments figurines.
She is survived by two sons, John Newell Jr. and David Newell; three grandchildren, Colin, Daniel (Patty) and Sean; and one great grandson, Cameron.
Faith was predeceased by her sister, Helen Dufel.
A Service of Remembrance will take place on her 90th Birthday, Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 1p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Calling hours will be held prior to the service, beginning at 11a.m. at the funeral home. Burial of her remains will follow in Hagaman Mills Cemetery, Hagaman, New York.
