Obituary of Angeline Paula Bottisti

 

Angeline Paula “Angie” Bottisti, 87, of Amsterdam, passed away on Tuesday August 23, 2022 at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam following a brief illness, with her nephew and niece (Anthony and Rita) at her bedside. Angie was most recently a resident of the Sentinel in Amsterdam where she met some of her closest friends. The family would like to thank the management, staff and residents of The Sentinel of Amsterdam for their caring, devotion and friendship.

Angie was born in Amsterdam on April 27, 1935 a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Sampone) Bottisti. Angie was educated in Amsterdam and was employed by Montco Manufacturing, Chalmers Mill, Noteworthy Co. and Walmart all located in Amsterdam.

Angie was an avid NY Yankees fan and enjoyed bowling and playing bingo. Angie also enjoyed family gatherings and catching up with old friends.

She is survived by her nephews, Anthony (Rita) Bottisti Jr. of Amsterdam and Christian (Carrie Ann) Bottisti of St. Augustine, FL. Angie never married and didn't have children of her own but she was the happiest when she was spending time with her great-nieces and great-nephews Maria, Kyle, Vincent, Carissa, Courteney, and Christian Jr. Angie has several cousins and friends who also survive her. She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Anthony J. Bottisti Sr. on November 17, 2001 and her sister Theresa LaRowe in 2010.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Interment will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Amsterdam. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam.
