Obituary of Deline H. Veeder

Deline H. Veeder, 82, passed away peacefully on October 8th, 2022, with his loving family at his side, in Edgewater FL. Butch was born in Fonda NY on July 3rd, 1940, to Donald and Irene (Bellinger) Veeder. He attended Fonda-Fultonville HS and upon graduation enlisted in the United States Army. On October 26th, 1961, he was united in marriage to Mary E. Frohn who was also from the Fonda area. Together they went on to raise three children in Rotterdam NY. After the army Butch went on to work for Southworth Milton Caterpillar as an operating engineer, Local 106, as a master mechanic. He was a hard working, dependable, and well respected employee for 40 years. Butch was an avid NASCAR fan, as well as any sport with an engine, and as a member of the FMCA-RV Club, he and his family frequented the racetracks for many years. He also had a love of Harleys and belonged to the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) with whom he and his brother would frequently ride. Upon his retirement, Butch and his wife divided their time between NY and FL, where their two daughters lived. Butch will always be remembered by family and friends as a kind, patient, devoted, knowledgeable, respected, and loving father, grandfather, and husband. He will be greatly missed. Butch was predeceased by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary, brother Donald Veeder and sister Nancy Roosevelt. Sadly and unexpectedly, Butch’s devoted daughter Donna Parris 57, and cherished grandson Donnie Geno 31, have also recently passed away. Butch leaves behind his children Craig (Diane) Veeder of Rotterdam, Mary (Ed) Geno and son-in-law Mike Parris of Edgewater FL; grandchildren Eddie (Kerri), Elizabeth, Shannon (Kris), Craig (Megan), Carly and DJ. Also 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Fonda on October 27th, 2022. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Jackson & Betz Family Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY 12072.
