Obituary of Josephine Orochowski Milosek

Josephine Orchowski Milosek, 94, formerly of Amsterdam, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon at St. Luke?s Home in Utica following a lengthy illness. Born in Johnstown, New York on January 1, 1911, the last surviving child of John and Marjanna Krzynowek Orchowski, she lived in Amsterdam for most of her life and attended St. Stanislaus? Parochial School. A homemaker, she was a communicant of St. Stanislaus? Roman Catholic Church. Josephine loved spending time with her family and in her spare time she enjoyed crocheting. On November 15, 1936, she was united in marriage to Leon Milosek. He predeceased her on December 2, 1977. Also, she lost a daughter, Melania Milosek, last year. Her loving family includes her son, Jerome, and his wife Sylvia Milosek of Saugerties; her daughter, Christine, and her husband Stanley Lipkin of Utica; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Chester Orchowski and Jean Cyrek. Services are Wednesday at 8:45AM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, followed by the Funeral Mass at 9:30AM at St. Stanislaus? Church with Fr. David Mickiewicz, celebrant. Interment is in St. Stanislaus? Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 to 7PM at the funeral home.
