Obituary of Doris Viola Ingersoll

Doris Viola Ingersoll, 61, of Union Street, Fultonville, died Wednesday at the Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville after being stricken at work. Born in Amsterdam, New York, on July 23, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Edward L. and Viola Ashley Ingersoll. She was a graduate of the Fonda-Fultonville Central School and the Oneonta College where she received a Bachelors Degree in Education. Doris worked for various factories in the area and was last employed by the Pioneer Windows in Johnstown, N.Y. She was a member of the Glen Reformed Church and the church?s former study group. Doris loved animals and was very interested in history and family genealogy. She enjoyed traveling and taking pictures. Survivor?s include her family; two brothers, Richard Ingersoll of Cicero, N.Y. and J. Alex Ingersoll of San Francisco, C.A.; a sister, Nancy Ingersoll of New York, N.Y.; aunt, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2005, at 2:00 at the Glen Reformed Church, Main Street, Glen, N.Y. with the Rev. Stacey Midge officiating. Cremation will take lace at the Vale Crematory in Schenectady. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Doris?s memory to the Glen Reformed Church, 1526 State Highway 161, Fultonville, N.Y. 12072 or to a charity of one?s choice.
