Obituary of Robert L. Jennings

Robert L. Jennings, 54, of Broadalbin died peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2005 at Albany Medical Center after being stricken Thursday at home. He was born on April 5, 1951 in Amsterdam, the son of Elsie Steele Jennings and the late Sprague L. Jennings. He graduated class of 1969 from the former Broadalbin High School and later from the Los Angeles Trade School, Los Angeles, California. Bob was a member of the United States Army from 1969 to 1975. A naturally talented mechanic, he became a certified aeronautical air frame, internal combustion and jet propulsion mechanic. Survivors include his mother; two brothers, William S. Jennings Candy of Broadalbin and Thomas J. Jennings of Palatine Bridge; two sisters, Faith A. Jennings of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Sally E. Wock Patrick of Broadalbin; four nephews, one niece, two grand nephews, four grand nieces, his significant other, Kelly; and his best friend ?Dog?. Bob, who was known as ?Bubba? by many friends will be sorely missed. He was a gentle individualist who loved his family and enjoyed his friends. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Monday, September 19th at Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 W. Main St; Broadalbin. The Funeral Service will be held at the Broadalbin Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 20th at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at Broadalbin Mayfield Rural Cemetery, Broadalbin. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.
