Obituary of Nancy L. France

Mrs. Nancy L. Jameson France, age 71 of Mayfield, NY, died Sunday, September 11, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam, NY. She was born Febraury 11, 1934 in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Carlton and Margaret Allen Jameson. She was educated in Schenectady schools and was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. Early in her life, Nancy worked at General Electric Company as a key punch operator. Leaving the area in 1969, she worked as a bookkeeper for various companies in South Carolina. She was a homemaker most of her life and returned to this area in 1985. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was a devoted family person always enjoying her family. Nancy loved to travel and was a past secretary of the Johnstown Church of Christ, and instrumental in forming the children?s church ministry. She is survived by her husband, Glen A. France of Mayfield; three sons, Richard France of Johnstown, Timothy France of Johnstown and David France Ladson, SC. She ia also survived by a sister, Terry Ayala of Sarasota, FL; and a brother, Gary Jameson of Saratoga Springs, NY; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. Cremation will take place at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Johnstown Church of Christ with Minister David S. English officiating.
