Obituary of Deborah J. Krug

Deborah J. Krug, 37, of Lea Drive, passed away Tuesday morning at her home with her family at her side. Born in Hudson, NY on Oct. 7, 1967, the daughter of Robert C. and Patricia Peck Ferris, she was raised in Ashland, NY. Deborah was a 1985 graduate of the Windham-Ashland-Jewett Central School. She received her bachelor of science degree from Siena College in Loudonville in 1989 and lived in this area since. Later that same year, she began her career with Town And Country Computer Services in Schenectady retiring in March as a senior programmer analyst. Deborah was a lifeguard during her high school and college years, and enjoyed a lifelong hobby of needlepoint and reading. She loved to travel and particularly the cross-country trips she took with her family. A member of the United Methodist Church in Amsterdam, she taught Sunday School there and also at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Latham for a time. On June 17, 1995, she was united in marriage to Michael J. Krug. In addition to her husband, her loving family includes her parents, Robert C. and Patricia P. Ferris of Ashland; her children, Andrew Michael and Monica Lynn Krug at home; sisters, Denise Rivette of Athens NY and MaryAnne Ferris of Catskill; her paternal grandmother, Audrey Ferris of Cobleskill; father and mother in law, Michael and Lidia Krug of Ft. Plain; brother in law, Erik Marcia Krug of Canajoharie; sister in law Alena Krug of Ft. Plain and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of her life will take place Friday at 10:00 am at the United Methodist Church, Golf Course Rd. Amsterdam. The Rev. Brian Gould officiating. Interment will take place at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Ashland, NY. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 5-8 pm Thursday at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Contributions may be made to an education fund for her children in care of Michael J. Krug, 11 Lea Dr., Delanson, NY 12053.
