Obituary of Joy Ann Parker

Mrs. Joy Ann Parker, 68, of E. Elwood Rd., Fort Plain in the Town of Stark passed away Saturday morning at her home after a long illness. Born on October 6, 1936 in Mount Kisco, NY she was the daughter of Henry and Blanche Rufthuski Davidson. Mrs. Parker moved from Yorktown Heights, NY to the Town of Stark in 1970. She was a homemaker and the owner and operator with her husband of the family dairy farm on E. Elwood Rd., in the Town of Stark. Joy was also a very caring person, a good friend to many and if anyone had any trouble she was always there. Mrs. Parker was a member of the Starkville United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Ashton Parker whom she married in 1960; a son Robert Parker of Ft. Plain; a grandson, Ashton B. Parker; 3 brothers, 4 sisters, and several nieces, and nephews also survive. A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 30, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Starkville United Methodist Church on Rt. 80 in Starkville. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in Joy?s memory to the Starkville United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego St., Canajoharie, NY.
