Obituary of Lydia Santiago

Lydia Santiago, 75, of East Main St., Amsterdam, passed away Friday at home. Born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on August 29, 1929 a daughter of Angel and Rosa Julia Pacheco Quinones. Mrs. Santiago has lived in Amsterdam for over 50 years. She worked as a Packer for the Amsterdam Glove Co., retiring 13 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. She married Juan Carlos Santiago, he passed away in 1998. Survivor?s include- Two Brothers- Miguel Quinones of Amsterdam and Ariel Rodriguez of Puerto Rico. Three Sisters- Vergenmina Camacho of Amsterdam Mirian Rodriguez of Puerto Rico Luzalba Rodriguez of Puerto Rico Her Niece- Judy Lozada of Amsterdam Many other Nieces, Nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 10:15A.M. at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave. Amsterdam followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00A.M. at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Grove St. Amsterdam. Interment will be in St. Michael?s Cemetery, Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 5-7P.M. at the funeral home.
