Obituary of Nancy Constantino Biviano

Nancy Constantino Biviano, 97, of Eagle Street, passed away peacefully Thursday evening at Mt. Loretto Nursing Home after a brief illness. Born in Brooklyn, NY on January 26, 1908, she was the last surviving child of Giovanni and Maria Constantino. She moved to Amsterdam in her youth and has resided here since. For over thirty years, Nancy was employed by Fownes Bros. as a glove maker, retiring in 1970. On Dec. 16, 1928, she was united in marriage to Anthony Biviano Sr.; he passed away on March 13, 1972. She was a communicant of St. Michael The Archangel Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the former Daughters Of Santa Marina of the church. Her loving family includes her sons; Joseph Biviano, and Anthony and his wife Frances Biviano all of Amsterdam; her grandchildren: Anthony and his wife Lisa Biviano, Angela Neuls and her husband Eric; Michelle Farley and her husband Mark; and Nancy Biviano; ten great-grandchildren and a niece, Mary Constantino of Amsterdam. Nancy?s brothers, John and Anthony Constantino, and her sister, Virginia Ventrice, as well as an infant son, Joseph, and infant daughter, Maria, all predeceased her. On Feb. 25, her great-grandson, Alexander Karas, suddenly passed away and on March 5, her granddaughter, Danielle Karas, died. Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass Of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated this morning at 11:00 am at St. Michael The Archangel Church Fr. Lawrence J. Decker, celebrant. It was the request of Mrs. Biviano that her calling hours be private. Interment is in St. Michael?s Cemetery. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Mark J. Hughes Fund to defray costs of cancer treatment, in care of the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam 12010. Nancy?s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the entire Mt. Loretto staff for the kindness and care she received while a resident there and also the courtesies shown to them during these last few weeks with their unexpected losses.
