Obituary of Michael A. Kindar

Michael A. Kindar 59, of South Main Street, passed away suddenly Thursday at his home. Born in Amsterdam on May 18, 1945, the son of Dr. Adam and Caroline Wasserman Kindar, he was a 1964 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School. From 1965 to 1968 he served with the US Navy and was stationed on the USS Wood. Following his discharge, he attended Cobleskill Community College where he studied conservation. For a time, Mike worked for Encon, and for many years was a certified legal videographer, operating Kindar Legal Video Services. He was married to the former Elizabeth Sikorski. Other family members include his children; Ryan M. Kindar of Gloversville, and Ashley C. Kindar of Atlanta, Ga.; his sister; Katra Kindar and her husband Tom Tintle of Shelbourne, Vt.; an aunt, Eleanor Kindar of Amsterdam; his nephew; Jade Kindar-Martin and his wife Karine of Los Angeles, Ca.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26th at 12 noon at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 11 to noon prior to the service. Interment of the cremated remains will take place on the family plot in St. Casimir?s Cemetery. It is the request of the family that flowers be omitted, and those who wish to remember Mike may make a contribution to your own favorite charity in his name.
