Obituary of Jessie A. Tesiero

Jessie A. Bauder Tesiero, 92, formerly of the Theodore Rosevelt Apartments in Amsterdam, passed away Tuesday evening at Mt. Loretto Nursing Home where she had been a resident since March of 2004. Born in Nelliston, NY on April 22, 1912 a daughter of John and Elizabeth Moyer Bauder. She was a 1930 Graduate of Ft. Plain High School and was an area resident all of her life. At one time she was the owner and operator of the former Jessie?s Confectionary on Wall St. in Amsterdam in the early 40?s. She later worked for many years as a Nurses Aide at the Sanford Home in Amsterdam and at private residences in the area before retiring in 1990. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Amsterdam. And was a member of the former Goodwill Club in Amsterdam. Jessie enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, crocheting, joking, and was an avid reader of the Holy Bible. She married Bartley Tesiero in 1942. He passed away on June 22, 1971. Survivor?s include- One Son- Bartley J. Tesiero and his wife Loretta of Amsterdam. Two Grandchildren- Bartley J. Tesiero Jr. of Town of Amsterdam, NY & Tammy Phillips and her husband Scott of Virginia. Five Great-Grandchildren- Alyssa Phillips, Owen Phillips, Gianina Tesiero, Aspen Phillips and Ayden Phillips. One Niece- Marilyn Yaniak of Rochester Four Nephews- John Bauder of Nelliston, Donald Oakley of Amsterdam, Robert Oakley of Ft. Plain and Daniel F. Martuscello of Georgia. Funeral Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park, Rotterdam. Calling hours are private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Loretto Nursing Home, Swart Hill Rd. Amsterdam, NY 12010. or to a Special Fund set up for Mark J.
