Obituary of Josephine Grajewski

Josephine Grajewski 90, of Elizabeth Street, passed away late Monday evening at the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility. Born in Norwich, Vermont on June 21, 1914, the daughter of Vasyl and Lena Tkagut, she moved to Amsterdam seventy years ago. She was employed as a presser for the former Martin Jay Dress Shop before she retired. Josephine was a communicant of St. Mary?s Roman Catholic Church. Her first husband, Samuel Bez, died in 1937. She later married John P. Grajewski who also predeceased her in 1990. Her loving family includes her daughters; Mary Stabinski of Bushnell, Florida, and Frances Gugliemelli of Amsterdam, with whom she resided; her son, Edward J. Bez and his wife, Joan of Amsterdam; a brother: Edward Kamuck of Amsterdam; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. A funeral service will take place Friday at 1:00 pm at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue. Interment is in St. Stanislaus? Cemetery. A calling period will begin at 11:00 am Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
